Google acquisisce Nest Labs per 3,2 miliardi dollari in contanti
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – JANUARY 13, 2014 — Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to buy Nest Labs, Inc. for $3.2 billion in cash.

Lo smartphone permette di programmare il funzionamento gestendo i sensori, sia in modalità locale che remota (impostazioni dei set point e degli orari di funzionamento, visualizzazioni, acquisizione di stati ed emissione di allarmi anche vocali). I sensori e lo smartphone "parlano" all'utente, individuando ed indicando quale è la fonte del pericolo incombente (incendio e/o eccessiva presenza di monossido di carbonio nell'aria).
